our philosophy

We believe that life is all about living to your fullest potential and creating as many happy moments as possible. Everyone should find something that makes their heart beat faster and their eyes glow when they talk about it. We believe that fitness is not punishment for something you ate or how you think your body looks. It is a blessing that your body is capable of all of these amazing things like lifting a barbell over your head or running a mile without stopping. Nutrition shouldn't be restrictive. The foods you eat are literally healing your body and making you grow stronger every day. We don't believe in dieting but rather in eating healthy, real, whole foods that make you feel good.

Our goal is to empower women by helping them be strong because having muscles is beautiful. Quads Nutrition believes in focusing on what the body can do, not what it looks like. Your health & happiness should be your biggest priority. You are only given one body and one life to live. The only person who is in charge of your health and happiness is you.

COACH HALIE

Halie grew up with a really poor relationship with food, exercise, and herself. She ate very unhealthy and refused to engage in exercise until she reached 180+ lbs and realized enough was enough. She used the motivation of looking awesome in her senior prom dress to kick start her health journey, which began in 2012, and she's slowly changed her lifestyle ever since. Halie had tried endless diets, over exercised, & struggled with her relationship with food and her body for years in the process of losing weight. It wasn't until she began CrossFit that she began to learn & understand that it wasn't about shrinking her body. It became learning about fueling her body, being strong, seeing what her body was capable of, and working on her health as a whole. A few years into CrossFit, Halie decided to pursue her nutrition coaching certification because of the success she had & the missing piece of the puzzle she saw in so many of her CrossFit Q athletes. She created Quads Nutrition with the goal to help as many people as possible learn that health requires a lifestyle approach, hence why she focuses on what she calls the "7 Pillars of Health" with her clients: nutrition, exercise, sleep, hydration, mindset, stress, mobility.

GOAL: 

Ditch the endless dieting, food restriction, exercise addiction, and obsession with the scale by helping more people build a healthy lifestyle that they LOVE & can sustain with real whole foods, habits, accountability, and consistency.

COACH BRI

Bri, or Breezy, is a CrossFit coach and Nutrition coach that truly cares about the health and wellness of the members and clients she comes in contact with.  Her journey started as always being a competitive athlete (gymnastics, cheerleading, softball) and struggling once she was beyond those times in her life. She found CrossFit soon after and built a huge passion for what it does for her as a retired athlete and what it does for all of us as functional movement translating into our quality of life.  Bri soon realized her goal was building muscle, and with that, came learning more about how food is fuel.  It became another passion when she realized how much it can directly affect performance, sleep, body composition, energy levels, and so much more. She decided to become certified through Precision Nutrition officially in October of 2019, and has since been working 1 on 1 with clients of all different ages, backgrounds, activity levels, and goals. When she's not answering check ins or coaching a class at her family's gym, CrossFit Q, you can find her: managing Frutta Bowls, creating Youtube Videos, diving into the beauty industry. Breezy likes to embrace all sides of herself and always hopes to be a leader and good example in all she does. 

GOAL: 

Help clients understand what a healthy, balanced, and flexible relationship with food feels like by implementing sustainable habits that will last a lifetime. She hopes to help clients build the necessary skills they need to continue on this lifelong journey of health.

COACH JEN

Jen has always had a passion for health and fitness. She started her fitness journey in high school and has tried multiple different classes and ways of training. Jen started CrossFit in May of 2016 and fell in love right away. She loved the intensity, challenge and community. Since starting CrossFit, Jen started coaching in February of 2018. She felt like her fitness was in check, but she still struggled with her diet. In August 2018, Jen sought out Halie for help with nutrition. She fell in love with the constant education she was receiving and the way changing her diet made her feel. 

GOAL: 

Help her clients build life long, sustainable, habits. She is constantly educating herself so she can be the best coach possible and pass her knowledge down to her clients.

COACH KYLE

All his life, Kyle has been an athlete, playing both football and baseball since the age of 5 and continuing that involvement in both sports throughout high school. He played college football, as well as wrestled for one year. But it wasn’t until his senior year that he truly started to consider how nutrition impacted his performance. At the same time during his senior year, he found Crossfit Q. He immediately transitioned into a Crossfit athlete and knew he could no longer out-train a bad diet. Upon starting Crossfit, he was introduced to Halie and she was the one that truly began his infatuation with nutrition and how much of an impact it does have, both as an athlete and in everyday life. Kyle personally has been on and off with counting macros for about 3-4 years. He's counted during times of competing and for everyday living, bulks and cuts, but mainly sustainability. He is a passionate individual who enjoys working with others to play a small role in helping them achieve their goals and dreams.

GOAL: 

Help as many people as possible become the best version of themselves through sustainable and life long habits. And to give the the athlete that last edge over their competitors. He loves working with performance athletes, especially CrossFitters!

The biggest thing I've taken away from this journey so far is my mind set change around certain foods - being able to eat and enjoy nutrient dense meals without the feeling of guilt afterwards. Additionally, I've being eating so much more than ever before and have seen major shifts and changes in energy levels, which have led me to performing better in the gym. Thank you, Quads Nutrition!
